What Is Your Dream?

What do you truly want to accomplish with your life?

Why aren't you doing it?

I am dedicating all of this newsletter, most of AYearFromNow.com, the Act On Your Dream! forum on JohnDilbeck.com, and other resources (see links below) to help you tell us your dream. It is my hope that many others will find us and we can help each other identify our dreams, share them in public, plan how to achieve them, and then act to achieve our dreams in as little as a year from now.

I truly believe that change can be made much more quickly than we've been led to believe. I've also observed, however, that we'll stick with the devil we know rather than launching out into the unknown and potentially facing the devil we don't know.

You can either choose to delay until the effort and pain of continuing as you're going is much more difficult than making a change, or you can decide right now that you're going to make some changes and have a better life a year from now.

What are you waiting on?

Act on your dream!

This Act On Your Dream! newsletter and http://AYearFromNow.com are powered by Site Build It!, which I believe to be the very best website design, web hosting, and online promotion system available anywhere, at any price. No other service has so many integrated components that work together to help you build an online business -- all at a total cost of about a dollar per day.

This is not just a web hosting service where you can get your site up quickly and watch it die a slow death with no traffic. No other system can deliver the proof that so many of their users have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Site Build It! users do this by following the step-by-step instructions included with the system. Of course, you'll have to tailor the content of your site to suit your needs, but that's not so hard with a system that takes care of almost all the technical issues and leaves you with the easier task of building your business.

If you're interested in building a successful online business, take a quick tour of how SBI works to help you build a site that attracts visitors willing to buy what you offer.

Would you like to turn your passion into a great business. Site Build It! has helped people -- who never really believed they could do it -- to change their lives.

And, best of all, it comes with a money-back guarantee of satisfaction.

This issue has two articles and I want to move right into them. News will return in November.

Articles

1. Who could believe it?

(Thanks to Jane Jarvis, United Kingdom, for submitting her story.)

Who would have thought eighteen months ago I would be where I am today?

Life had collapsed in a dramatic pile around me overnight, giving no time to prepare or think rationally.

We were living a fairly idyllic life in Italy when due to an appalling discovery about my husband of 14 years, I left my husband, work, house and the area where we lived within 24 hours.

I had no income, savings were all tied up with "him" and therefore not accessible and I had my two gorgeous little girls, aged three and nine, to look after.

Well, thanks only to pure ingenuity and a credit card we managed to survive almost a year still in Italy when finally, due to lack of money, we just had to return reluctantly to our home country - England.

The kids settled straight into the most wonderful school. After living in a caravan in a field full of sheep and sheep droppings we managed to get a tiny house.

I got offered a superb job but it depended on me having a degree in the field, so I got a late place at University to finish my course - the job is there for me when I finish next year.

I make enough money on the internet to survive financially and pay my rather enormous university fees.

I have also almost managed to pay off most of my debts by following a really simple principle which just blew my mind and made everything possible.

I have never felt more confident or clear in the whole of my life. I am following my passion, getting paid for doing what I love doing, fulfilling a dream of attending university and am with my beloved children.

Interestingly for the first time in my life I LOVE my own company.

Who would have believed so many wonderful things could come about through the most awful events.

2. Creating an International Success Cooperative

Ever since Dennis observed that it looked like I was wanting to build a success cooperative, I've been thinking about how this could work and I've been putting it to practice on my new website at http://CherokeeCountyNC.com where I'm doing my best to help local organizations get the word out about what they're doing to help others.

The more I worked on that site, the more I got to thinking that there are probably lots of webmasters and website owners out there who would like to do something to help non-profit organizations in their area publicize what they are doing to make their local communities a better place to live.

How many of us take the time to add one page to our site where we can link to news about organizations that are doing this needed work in our communities? Have you put up a page or a section on your site to help promote the work of larger non-profits that help folks when disaster strikes?

The more I thought about this, the more I wanted to start an interactive site to help folks in my community tell us what they're doing and what we can do to help them accomplish their goals.

It's been said that many hands lighten heavy loads.

The more of us who add pages focusing on the organizations that are working hard for little reward, the more likely they'll find new volunteers and donations to keep them working. At least, that's my idea at this point.

So, in addition to building http://CherokeeCountyNC.com and offering a variety of free services to make it easier for local groups and organizations to get their stories out to the world, I've started a new section at http://AYearFromNow.com that will grow into the International Success Cooperative. You can see the start at:

http://www.ayearfromnow.com/success-cooperative.html

At this time, I have links for Cherokee County, North Carolina, only. I'm waiting for you to submit your URL and I'll look at it to make sure you're linking to and/or describing local or regional non-profits. If so, I'll add your information within a few days. I'll try to get it done within 72 hours, but that isn't always possible.

So, what makes this any different from a reciprocal link site? First, you don't have to link to the Success Cooperative page unless you want to. I'm not going to look for a return link. If you want to participate in the cooperative, I know you'll do your part to help it grow. If you want a cheap link to your site, I'm not going to invest the time and energy to fight you.

That's the whole point -- to help others. Quality people will submit quality sites and blogs. You have a sincere desire to see others succeed, and in doing so, I firmly believe you'll attract success to yourself.

The whole goal is to have hundreds or thousands of sites focusing more and more attention to these local sites so they'll attract the volunteers and donations to help them do their jobs even better.

Isn't that worth a few hours building one or more pages on your website or posting a few messages to your blog helping these groups?

I think so.

But, that's not the only thing I'm thinking about building here.

I don't want to see just non-profits succeed. I want to see you succeed. So, I'll be adding more pages to the International Success Cooperative and will be offering information and links on a variety of topics. I'm hoping you'll take the time to help me build this into a real success cooperative with thousands of people around the world helping each other succeed in whatever they're trying to achieve. If you have a dream, I want to help you act on your dream.

At this point, I have no idea what this will evolve into, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses over the next year or so.

I've been wanting to talk to Dennis about this, but he and I both were sick earlier in the month and haven't been able to get together. Now that I'm feeling better, I hope he -- and you -- will join us on my forum where we can make the International Success Cooperative come to life. Join us at:

And, no, this isn't all about getting rich quick. I don't believe in the whole concept of getting rich quick. Everything that I've ever done that was worth doing took a lot of work, time, and effort. It's not even about getting rich.

This site, this newsletter, and this cooperative are about achieving the goals you want to achieve to help you make your dream real. Identify your dream. Act on your dream.

Pay it forward. Help others along the way.

Keep on working and you will eventually achieve what you set out to accomplish. Creativity, passion, action, and persistence are required to make your dream come true. Let's help each other do just that.

I'm all ears. How do you want to help build an International Success Cooperative? What do you think about the idea? What needs to be done?

Hit me right between the ideas with your feedback and ideas. I'm a big boy and I can take it.

(grin)

What's your dream? It's up to you to find a way to make it happen.

We'll help, but YOU must act on your dream to make it real.

Until next time,

All the best,

JD
